September 23, 2023: This week the cab began the paint process, and the body began fabrication. Next week the cab may finish with paint!
September 30, 2023: This week the cab continued the paint process, the pump house finished with paint, and the body continued with fabrication! Next week the cab will finish paint, the pump house will begin final assembly, and the body should finish with fabrication.
October 7, 2023: This week the cab finished the paint process, the body began the paint process, and the pump house finished final pump assembly!
October 14, 2023: This week the chassis frame began initial assembly and the body continued the paint process. Next week the cab should begin to receive trim and wiring harnesses, the chassis frame should continue assembly, and the body should finish with paint.
October 28, 2023: This week the body continued to receive trim and wiring harnesses! Next week the body should be in staging.
November 18, 2023: This week the apparatus was released for initial and third-party pump testing, and began final product evaluation. Any remaining content will be installed prior to release. Chelmsford Fire Department’s new Pierce Saber is almost complete!
