updates from the factory floor!
July 12, 2024: Auburn Fire Department’s new 100′ Ascendant Aerial Tower’s cab began initial assembly and the frame build continued. The pump house was painted then began initial assembly. The torque box arrived and was staged, and the body completed fabrication.
July 19, 2024: In this report the Auburn FD Aerial Tower’s cab and pump house completed initial assembly, and they were both installed on the frame. The torque box remained staged, and the body began the paint process.
July 26, 2024: Auburn Fire Department’s new Pierce Aerial’s torque box was merged with the chassis, the front body module was fabricated and painted. The rear body module completed paint.
August 2, 2024: In this report the Auburn FD Aerial tower’s torque box was merged with the chassis, the front body module was fabricated and painted, and the rear body module completed paint.
August 9, 2024: Auburn Fire Department’s new Pierce Aerial’s rear body module was installed while assembly continued and the front body module was staged to be installed.
August 15, 2024: In this report the Auburn FD’s front body module was merged with the apparatus, followed by the start of final assembly.
August 23, 2024: Auburn Fire Department’s new Pierce apparatus completed final assembly and released to initial testing.
August 30, 2024: In this report the Auburn FD apparatus was staged for aerial arrival.
