Ludlow FD’s new Pierce is in production this week in Appleton, WI, Featuring a 107′ hydraulic Aerial Ladder, Whelen lighting, 300 Gallon Tank, and more- see all the details in the full drawing. Updates from the factory floor!

December 21, 2024: The cab completed fabrication and started the paint process. 

January 10, 2024: The cab completed the paint process and was staged while the body began fabrication.  

January 17, 2025: The cab began initial assembly, the frame build began, the torque box arrived and was staged, and the body completed fabrication and was staged. 

January 25, 2025: The cab was installed on the frame, the torque box began initial assembly, and the body was released to paint.  

February 7, 2025: The torque box completed initial assembly and was merged with the chassis, the forward body module was fabricated and began the paint process and the rear body module continued through paint. 

February 14, 2025: The chassis was staged to begin initial apparatus assembly, the forward body module was having plumbing installed, and the rear body module completed the paint process and was staged. 

February 21, 2025: The froward and rear body modules were merged with the chassis followed by the start of final assembly. 

February 28, 2025: The apparatus continued in an offline area of production. 

March 8, 2025: The apparatus was staged for testing and aerial arrival. 

March 14, 2025: The apparatus remained staged for testing while a section of the aerial device arrived and was staged. 

March 21, 2025: The apparatus remained staged for testing while the aerial device began initial assembly. 

March 28, 2025: The apparatus remained staged while the aerial device continued initial assembly. 

April 4, 2025: The aerial device completed initial assembly and was pinned to the apparatus followed by the start of aerial testing.
