New Bedford’s new Pierce is in production this week in Appleton, WI, Featuring a 100′ hydraulic Aerial Tiller, Whelen lighting and more- see all the details in the full drawing. May 4, 2024: New Bedford Fire Department’s Aerial Tiller is now in production! This week the tiller cab began fabrication! Next week the tiller cab may continue the fabrication process.

May 11, 2024: This week the tractor cab began fabrication while, the tiller cab continued fabrication! Next week the tractor cab may continue fabrication. The tiller cab may complete the fabrication process and release to paint!

May 18, 2024: This week both the tractor cab and tiller cab completed fabrication and began the paint process! Next week both cabs may continue through paint.

May 25, 2024: This week the tractor cab completed the paint process, and the front and rear body modules began fabrication! Next week the body modules may continue the fabrication process. 

June 1, 2024: This week the tractor cab began initial assembly, the transverse compartment started fabrication, and the front & rear body modules completed fabrication! Next week the tractor cab may continue initial assembly, the transverse may continue fabrication, and the body modules may begin the paint process.

June 8, 2024: This week the tractor cab completed initial assembly, the frame build began, the transverse compartment completed fabrication and began in paint, the rear body module began the paint process, and the tiller cab completed paint and was staged! Next week the front body modules may begin paint, and the other parts may continue their processes. 

June 15, 2024: This week the tractor cab was merged with the frame then staged for protective coating application, the transverse compartment completed paint, the front body modules began paint, and the rear body module continued through paint! Next week the tractor chassis may be staged to continue assembly, the front body modules may continue the paint process, and the rear body module may begin initial assembly.

June 21, 2024: This week the the trailer began initial assembly, and the front and rear body modules completed paint! Next week the trailer may continue initial assembly.

July 12, 2024: This week the tractor chassis and trailer were merged, as well as the transverse, front body modules, and rear body module being installed with the start of final assembly, and the tiller cab began initial assembly. In the next report, the apparatus may continue final assembly while the tiller cab may continue initial assembly. 

July 19, 2024: This week the apparatus continued final assembly while the tiller cab completed initial assembly and was staged. In the next report, the tiller cab may be merged, and final assembly may continue. 

July 26, 2024: This week the tiller cab was merged with the apparatus while the aerial device arrived and began initial assembly. In the next report the apparatus may continue final assembly while the aerial device may continue initial assembly. 

August 2, 2024: This week the apparatus completed final assembly while the aerial device completed initial assembly and was pinned to the apparatus followed by the start of aerial testing.  

August 9, 2024: This week the apparatus completed testing and was released to quality and graphics where remaining content will be applied. 

August 16, 2024: This week the apparatus continued the quality and graphics process where any remaining content will be applied. Once completed, it will be made ready for the customer acceptance inspection.
