updates from the factory floor!
September 27, 2024: Stowe Fire Department’s new 107′ Aerial Ladder’s cab has completed fabrication and was staged to begin the paint process.
October 4, 2024: In this report the Stowe FD Aerial Ladder’s cab began the paint process.
October 11, 2024: The cab has completed paint and began initial assembly.
October 25, 2024: The cab completed initial assembly and was installed on the frame. The forward body module began the paint process and the pedestal began initial assembly. The rear body module has also completed fabrication.
November 1, 2024: The torque box was being installed on the chassis, the forward body module continued through paint and the rear body module completed paint and began initial assembly.
November 15, 2024: The torque box, forward body module, and rear body module were merged with the chassis followed by the start of final assembly.
December 21, 2024: The aerial device completed initial assembly and was pinned to the apparatus, followed by the start of aerial testing.
January 3, 2025: The apparatus completed testing and was released to quality and graphics where any remaining content will be applied. Once completed, it will be made ready for customer acceptance inspection.
