A New Pierce Responder 4×4 Pumper is in production at the Bradenton, FL factory! This latest addition to the West Rutland, VT fleet features 1250 GPM pump, 1000 gallon poly tank, 147.5″ body, and full height passenger and driver’s side doors! May 25, 2024: West Rutland Fire Department’s Pierce Responder 4×4 Pumper is now in production! This week the chassis arrived, and it will be staged next week.
June 8, 2024: This week the chassis began preparations for fire service and the body began fabrication! Next week the chassis should continue with chassis prep and the body should continue with fabrication.
June 15, 2024: This week the chassis continued with chassis prep, the fire pump was mounted, and the body continued with fabrication! Next week the chassis should continue with chassis prep and the body should continue with fabrication.
June 21, 2024: This week the chassis continued with chassis prep, and the body began to receive trim and wiring harnesses. Next week the chassis should continue with chassis prep and the body may be mounted!
July 13, 2024: Since the last report, your new Pierce Pumper/Responder began final assembly after the body was mounted. Next week your truck should continue with final assembly and installation of option content..
July 27, 2024: This week the Pierce Pumper/Responder continued with final assembly. Next week, the apparatus should continue with final assembly and installation of option content and may be released for initial and third-party pump testing.
August 3, 2024: This week the new Pierce Pumper/ Responder was released for initial and third-party pump testing. The truck will begin final product evaluation, and any remaining content will be installed!
