The Skeeter Flat-Bed can increase your body options by offering numerous custom body compartments to both the sides and rear. A Skeeter Custom Flat-Bed can easily double your compartment space over a commercial body. We build our bodies using high-strength, light-weight aluminum so you don’t sacrifice water and equipment for body weight. Additionally, our custom flat-bed body is engineered for severe duty wildland firefighting with larger frame rails, larger cross members welded closer together, spring-mounted to the chassis frame; rarely offered on any commercial bodies.
The Skeeter Step-Side offers an elevated advantage when attacking fast-moving fires. Secure personnel on each side of the apparatus in a protected firefighting position for better visibility and greater mobility. We designed a 24” walkway with side-to-side access and swing-in safety lock gates. The step-side cubicles can be equipped with top-mount pump controls, cameras, ground and scene lighting, whip lines or additional storage.
The Skeeter Rescue-Side is our flagship body, tested and proven in wildland applications with over 400 units currently in-service. The Rescue-Side can increase your body compartment storage by up to 50 cubic feet, offering two additional vertical compartments and an optional transverse storage fully customizable for backboards, stokes basket, long tools, cross-lays or slide-outs. The Skeeter High-Water Rescue vehicle, doubles as an emergency evacuation unit, and highlights the many uses you’ll get when you choose Skeeter Emergency Vehicles. Large scale evacuations of people in both metropolitan and rural areas during a major flood event can prove to be more than difficult. Evacuating a subdivision is one thing but imagine evacuating an entire city of over a million. The challenges quickly overwhelm local first responders. The Skeeter F750 Medium-Duty Rescue is available in 96” or 100” body widths. We offer all major options, including: winches, hinged or roll-up doors, adjustable shelving, trays and tool boards, PTO or hydraulic generators, light towers, rescue tool systems, tool mounting, cascade air systems, NFPA fill stations, air hose/electric cord reels, water pumps, and air compressors.
