Gill Fire Department’s Responder Pumper Now In Production

Gill Fire Department has a new Pierce Responder Pumper on the production line in Florida. Built on a Freightliner 4X4 chassis with 4 door cab this pumper features a 1250gpm pump, 1000 gallon water tank, plus a booster reel and cab-operated remote bumper turret. We are looking forward to seeing this build quickly and on it’s way to serve the Gill, MA Community. Check out the weekly progress below!

updates from the factory floor!

April 20, 2024: Gill Fire Department’s new apparatus is now in production! This week the chassis arrived, and the fire pump began to receive valves and plumbing. Next week the fire pump should finish with valves and plumbing!

May 4, 2024: This week the chassis began preparations for fire service, and the fire pump was mounted! Next week the chassis may continue with chassis prep.

May 18, 2024: This week the chassis continued with chassis prep and the body began to receive trim and wiring harnesses. Next week the body should be mounted!

May 25, 2024: This week Gill Fire Department’s Pierce Responder Pumper began final assembly after the body was mounted! Next week it should continue with final assembly and installation of option content. 

June 1, 2024: This week the apparatus continued final assembly! Next week it should continue with final assembly and installation of option content. 

June 8, 2024: This week the apparatus continued with final assembly. Next week it should continue with final assembly and installation of option content, and may be released for initial and third-party pump testing!

June 21, 2024: This week Gill Fire Department’s new Pierce Pumper continued with final assembly. Next week it should continue with final assembly and installation of option content, and may be released for initial and third-party pump testing! 

July 27, 2024: This week the apparatus was released for initial and third-party testing. The truck began final product evaluation, and any remaining content will be installed prior to release and customer acceptance. This will be the final weekly report.
